Ampiamente distribuito in Europa e anche in Nord America e Sud-Est asiatico. Ha foglie grandi, ovali, punteggiate con bordi seghettati marcati. I baccelli sono traslucidi e rimangono sulla pianta per tutto l’inverno. Fiorisce in primavera e in estate. La fioritura non è molto abbondante, ma rimane sulla pianta per diverse settimane. In Italia sono conosciuti anche come “gli occhiali del Papa” (gli occhiali del Papa)
Widely distributed in Europe and also in North America and Southeast Asia. It has large, oval, dotted leaves with marked serrated edges. The pods are translucent and remain on the plant through the winter. It blooms in spring and summer. Flowering is not very abundant, but it remains on the plant for several weeks. In Italy they are also known as “gli occhiali del Papa” (the Pope’s glasses)
