Ranunculus sp. – Apriti Bosco

Ranunculus sp.

Originario delle regioni montuose dell’Europa centrale e meridionale. “Ranunculus” in latino significa “piccola rana”, probabilmente perché alcune specie sono state ritrovate vicino all’acqua, come le rane. Ranunculus repens è anche conosciuto come ranuncolo strisciante, che molto probabilmente si riferisce al colore del fiore. Fino a quando la pianta non viene essiccata con il fieno, contiene veleni.

Native to the mountains regions of Central and Southern Europe. “Ranunculus” in Latin means “little frog”, probably because some of the species were found next to the water, like frogs. Ranunculus repens is also known as creeping buttercup, which most likely refers to the color of the flower. Untill the plant is dried with hay, it contains poisons.
