Comunemente chiamato erba stella. Erbacea perenne, i fiori hanno cinque petali lanceolati, generalmente bianchi. Fiorisce da aprile ad agosto, è presente nell’Europa centro-meridionale della Penisola Iberica, delle Alpi e dei Balcani.
